Alternative meanings for emojis used to describe not safe for work (NSFW) topics, such as genitals or sexual acts, drug use, etc. These alternative NSFW meanings are commonly found on TikTok, Snapchat, and other social platforms.
Sexual Emojis / "Dirty" Emojis
- 🍆 Eggplant: penis.
- 🍑 Peach: bottom/ass (analysis shows this is the most common use).
- 🍒 Cherries: breasts, tits, boobs.
- 🍈 Melon: notably large breats tits, boobs - usually referenced with two instances of this emoji (e.g. 🍈 🍈).
- 🐱 Cat Face: 'pussy' (vagina).

Drug Emojis / Emojis For Drugs
In 2021, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) released an "Emoji Drug Code | Decoded" guide, detailing how certain emojis could be used to represent illicit substances in digital communications. Some of the more well-documented instances are listed below:
- 💊 Pill: General reference to drugs, particularly prescription or party drugs like ecstasy.
- 🍬 Candy: Slang for pills or party drugs (e.g., MDMA or ecstasy).
- 🍁 Maple Leaf:, 🌿 Herb, 🍃 Leaf Fluttering in Wind, 🪴Potted Plant: cannabis or marijuana.
- ❄️ Snowflake, ☃️ Snowman, 🌨️ Cloud with Snow: cocaine ('snow').
- 🎱 8 Ball: 3.5 grams of cocaine (less commonly: heroin, ketamine, or methamphetamine).
- 🔑 Key: consumption of cocaine (key used as a tool).
- 🤥 Lying Face: consumption of cocaine (via the nose).
