Beginning rollout on 2023-01-11, WhatsApp 2.23.2.72 debuted support for the 31 emojis recommended in September 2022's Emoji 15.0.

This update also changed the designs of the 🤓 Nerd Face, the 🥺 Pleading Face, and the 🥹 Face Holding Back Tears emojis.
