Emoji Meaning

A small pouch with a clasp, generally used to hold coins. Sometimes called a “coin purse.”

Color varies by platform, though most platforms have a pink, blue, or turquoise bag with a silver or gold (gray or yellow) clasp.

Not to be confused with 👝 Clutch Bag, which can look like a coin person on some platforms, due to lack of relative scale in emoji designs.

Purse was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
