Emoji Meaning
A yellow face with furrowed eyebrows, a small frown, and large, “puppy dog” eyes, as if begging or pleading. May also represent adoration or feeling touched by a loving gesture.
At its peak the Pleading Face was the third most popular emoji used on Twitter, and was the most commonly found emoji in tweets that include hearts. Used in sequence with pointing hands to indicate a bashful or shy pose (๐ฅบ๐๐) particularly on TikTok.
Pleading Face was approved as part of Unicode 11.0 in 2018 under the name โFace with Pleading Eyesโ and added to Emoji 11.0 in 2018.
