The design of this emoji varies, with most platforms opting for leather-looking styles in brown or orange. Samsung’s design used to be pink, but is now light brown. Twitter’s purple design stands out among the other platforms.

Not to be confused with the smaller and handleless pouch emoji sometimes referred to as 👝 Clutch Bag.

Handbag was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
